PROJECT: MAYA HOUSE, 134-138 BOROUGH HIGH STREET
LIGHTING DESIGN: MAURICE BRILL LIGHTING DESIGN
MANUFACTURER: PULSAR
A band is suspended on the facade, frozen at mid song. Music plays but no sound can be heard, instead a visual music flows and pulses through the concrete facade of the Maya House. Sounds fill the vision but not the ears. Hidden laser beams trigger new compositions. Passers by act as conductors or the audience. Rhythm of the urban London is played by three sculptures and a facade. Cars and buses stream past, the music plays on, still no sound just light.
